Production Assembler I - II (Entry-Level - Night Shift)

AST SpaceMobile and our global partners are building the first and only space-based cellular broadband network to be accessible by standard smartphones. Called SpaceMobile, this ultra-powerful network is being designed to provide connectivity at 4G/5G speeds everywhere on the planet – on land, at sea and in flight.
Summary:
The Assembler will perform manual labor in a production line and assembling parts for satellite systems.
Assembler I pay starts at $19/hr and moves to $20/hr after 60 days. Additionally, the evening shift includes a night shift differential increase of 10%.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:00 p.m. -12:30 a.m. with voluntary opportunities for overtime after hours and on weekends. Training must be completed on the day schedule, 7:30a.m. - 4:00p.m for up to 30 days.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works as part of a production team to assemble parts.
- Sorts and places material or items on tables, racks or bins.
- Assembles satellite sub-assembly parts manually.
- Uses various hand tools, measuring and test equipment.
- Cleans assembled parts and places in protective bags or boxes.
- Packs, seals and moves boxes.
- Picks up, moves and sorts small parts.
- Uses small tools and jigs to manipulate parts for assembly.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Drivers License.
- US Citizen, Permanent Resident Card Holder, or Non-Citizen allowed to work for any employer.
- Must be service-oriented, flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff.
- Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
- Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision and able to manage multiple projects.
- Must be able to stand 8 hours/day.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates degree or certificate in technical area.
- Assembly or manufacturing experience.
- High aptitude to work with small electronic, to include soldering of small electrical components or mechanical equipment.
- Experience in space or aeronautical field.
