As a Part-Time Paralegal, you will help draft, review, and manage contracts and other legal documents that are vital to the smooth operation of our institution. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and revise contracts, agreements, and other legal documents in compliance with legal requirements and college guidelines.
  • Conduct legal research to ensure that legal documents comply with local, state, and federal laws and college policies.
  • Maintain and organize legal files, both physical and electronic, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Assist in the preparation of legal memoranda, correspondence, and reports.
  • Track contract deadlines and key dates, ensuring timely renewals and compliance with terms.
  • Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to gather necessary information for contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure proper execution of legal documents and maintain records of signed contracts within the college's contract management database.
  • Assist with special legal projects and provide administrative support as needed.
  • Other related job duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on contracts preferred.
  • Familiarity with contract law, legal terminology, and legal document formats.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal document management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Experience working in an educational setting or with public institutions is a plus.

Supplemental Information

This part-time position offers approximately 15-20 hours per week, with a flexible schedule based on the needs of the legal department
