GENERAL PURPOSE

Efficiently receive, store, and retrieve raw and finished goods within the facility, ensuring accuracy, safety, and timeliness while maintaining proper documentation for part tracking.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Actively participate in improvement initiatives within your department and others.
Accurately complete all required paperwork to maintain precise records.
Consolidate raw and finished goods to ensure adequate open locations for incoming products.
Adhere to ISO work instructions and other departmental requirements based on your work location.
Demonstrate flexibility to meet team, department, and plant objectives.
Adhere to corporate, plant, and departmental safety guidelines.
Load finished products onto trailers for shipment, ensuring neat organization and clear identification of trailer contents.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment using 5S principles, keeping areas free of debris.
Exhibit a strong sense of urgency and dedication to customer satisfaction.
Safely operate equipment such as stand-up hi-los, order pickers, pallet cars, and forklifts, keeping equipment clean and performing daily safety inspections and checklists. Report any issues to the maintenance department.
Participate in inventory location management, physical inventory counts, and cycle count programs as needed.
Conduct paperwork accuracy checks and quality control inspections when required.
Perform additional responsibilities as requested by management.
Pull raw and finished goods for orders and shipping memos with 100% accuracy.
Correctly tag parts using load lists, routings, or ICOs, ensuring accurate labeling for destinations.
Verify quantities and proper labeling of products on orders and shipping memos, including orders pulled by other material handlers.
Work independently, demonstrating the ability to operate without direct supervision.

Commit to fulfilling overtime requirements as necessary.

Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

Education/Experience

One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency.

Skills and Abilities

Competent in basic math skills, such as adding and subtracting.

Able to read, understand, communicate, and interpret written and verbal instructions, work documentation, policies and practices, etc., which are written in the English language.

Able to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals.

Willing to adapt to a continually changing environment.

Committed to team success through reliable attendance.

If not currently holding a hi-lo license, employee must pass all required tests within thirty days of accepting the position.

Must have a sense of urgency and be able to follow written and verbal instruction explicitly.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Able to bend, twist, and stand etc.

Depending on work location, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Depending on work location, must be able to move items weighing up to 360 lbs with assistance to include hi-lo's, lift assists, hand trucks, dollies and/or work teams.
