The Opportunity

SANY America has an opportunity for someone who is forward-thinking and highly motivated. We are currently looking for a Payroll & Benefits Manager. We are a growing company looking for a knowledgeable Payroll Manager that will ensure accurate processing and recording of payroll and benefits. SANY America is advancing its growth trajectory and with deep investment along with backing of SANY Group, the Americas business is expected to grow significantly in the coming years. Critical to this growth, is the appointment of a high-quality Payroll Manager with experience using ADP Workforce Now.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will work directly with the Director of Human Resources to ensure an effective strategy is executed. This will require:

  • Manage bi-weekly payroll process that includes importing, proofing, editing, processing and transmitting all payroll wages, deductions, reimbursements, bonuses, commissions, and manual payments consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws.


  • Perform specific duties related to insurance plans, 401k, and flexible spending accounts reconciliation of accounts, timely vendor payments.


  • Perform updates to payroll-related information and data and manage overall payroll workflow.


  • Enters garnishment and support notice deductions withheld from team member's payroll checks.


  • Manage team member benefits administration.


  • Ensure timely processing of all new hires, promotions and terminations.


  • Analyze and audit payroll data for accuracy of posting, including intercompany transactions.


  • Balance monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll reports.


  • Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.


  • Provide routine or as needed accounting support that contribute to the effective function of the Finance Team.


  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll.


  • Respond to any data/reporting requests related to payroll and timekeeping including unemployment and wage verifications.


  • Maintains team member confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will:

Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role.

  • ADP Workforce Now experience along with Time and Attendance experience.


  • Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws.


  • Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes.


  • A keen eye for detail.


  • An analytical mind and good math skills.


  • Outstanding communication skills (written and oral).


  • Demonstrate a high degree of creativity and mature judgement in anticipating and solving non-reoccurring, unprecedented problems. Have a Root Cause/Countermeasure approach to problem solving (analytical vs. intuitive).


  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.


  • Hand-on experience with Human Resources Information System (HRIS).


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).


  • Strong decision-making skills.


  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Payroll and benefits.


  • Project management skills with the ability to plan, create, maintain and resolve open issues, lead functional teams, financial tracking and management of program fund spending.


  • Process driven, detailed oriented, results driven and self-motivated.


  • High energy with a sense of urgency who is resilient and self-confident.


EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in finance, business or a related field preferred.

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. It will include a base salary, an annual performance bonus, and other exceptional benefits.
