Job Title: Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud - Lead Architect

Slalom is seeking a Lead Architect of Manufacturing Cloud to support our Salesforce partnership and join our global capabilities team. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven leader to help design and lead a team of individuals who consult with co-workers and clients in the manufacturing industry related to sales and service operations. You will design innovative ways to accelerate the growth of our Salesforce practice. Working with our global Manufacturing practice, local markets, and Salesforce consultants, you will have an amazing opportunity to elevate the way Slalom goes to market and delivers world-class solutions that leverage a wide variety of enterprise platforms and technologies combined with manufacturing subject matter expertise.

Our Global Salesforce team is looking to add a passionate Principal or Senior Principal to take on the role of Manufacturing Cloud Lead Architect within our Salesforce practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Accountability for growing the Global Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud capability, including driving sales, recruiting, talent enablement, people/career management, best practices, technical solutioning, thought leadership, project staffing, and all operational aspects of scaling and building a global practice, including:
    • Driving overall growth of the practice through a combination of business development, talent management, oversight of delivery work, and thought leadership.
    • Maximizing team performance through an effective team approach that increases productivity and job satisfaction.
    • Managing engagement risk related to sustainability projects, project economics (including planning and budgeting when there is an industry cloud engagement on a project), defining deliverable content, and confirming buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client.
    • Experience leading procurements (RFPs) comprising several Slalom practices, markets, and partners.
    • Ensuring that the entire practice exceeds utilization targets for an emerging practice of 65%+.
  • Close collaboration with the Global Manufacturing practice and market delivery throughout the Salesforce Marketing Cloud growth strategy and delivery.
  • Manage strategic project engagement risk, project economics/budget, project outcomes, and buy-in of proposed solutions from executive, client management.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for large, complex deliveries; drive conversations with our customer's technical staff and business stakeholders armed with best practices.
  • Manage customer expectations and negotiate solutions to complex problems with both the customer and third-party partners.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and maturation of Salesforce enterprise and technical architecture offerings.
  • Provide oversight and governance of sold and managed Salesforce projects where enterprise architects are staffed.
  • Drive business development with the Global Salesforce Manufacturing practice, with the proper information, tools, and subject matter expertise to sell engagements within the offering.
  • Build and develop relationships/partnerships with local market teams, aligning on sales pursuits, resource capacity and capabilities, and awareness across the region.
  • Build and develop relationships with Salesforce and own joint sales pursuits.
  • Develop or support the development and delivery of best practices, delivery templates, and point-of-view papers.
  • Help define and manage the career development plan and program for technical resources to progress from solution/technical architects through enterprise architecture.
  • 20-30% target utilization at enterprise client account depending on role.

Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in a large consulting environment, filling positions of increasing responsibility and management of more junior technical resources.
  • Experience on the Salesforce core (force.com) tech stack and recommending effective use of technology, including related cloud technologies
  • Experience and passion for the manufacturing domain and solutions.
  • Experience developing relationships with Salesforce sales, partner, product, and solution engineering teams.
  • Experience in collaborating with data integration partners.
  • Deep experience with business development skills, including managing and developing relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Deep experience with business operations (e.g., writing contracts, managing revenue/margin, tracking utilization, staffing resources on optimal roles, and forecasting).
  • Deep experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies; expert at project delivery, including all aspects of program management and the SDLC.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience.
  • Excellent mentoring and leadership skills.
  • Able to travel up to 50% (post-COVID).

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom prides itself on helping team members thrive in their work and life. Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position at the Principal level the base salary pay range is $122,000 to $225,000. For this position at the Senior Principal level the base salary pay range is $140,000 to $258,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
