Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our financial reporting and accounting operations, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our financial data. As a critical partner in the organization, you will help shape and optimize our financial processes, contributing to the overall success of our accounting function. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, with a clear path for professional development and growth.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage month-end general ledger activities, financial reporting, and year-end audit preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Conduct detailed monthly reconciliations and support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Partner with department managers to align financial goals with operational objectives and drive efficiency across teams.
  • Continuously monitor department performance, proposing and implementing process improvements to optimize resource use while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • Respond to inquiries from the Executive Team and other leaders regarding financial results, special reports, and ad hoc requests.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures to enhance departmental workflow, contributing to the overall improvement of the finance function.
  • Provide training and mentorship to new and existing staff to ensure continuous development and adherence to best practices.

Primary Skills & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency in PC-based tools, including Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word, with expertise in pivot tables, VLookups, and complex financial models.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating across departments.
  • Ability to multi-task, perform under pressure, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • CPA certification and experience with Sage accounting software are highly preferred.
