Job Summary: The Product Support General Sales Manager is responsible for collaborating on, implementing, and achieving the HOLT's short-term and long-term strategic plan in alignment with the company's vision, values, and mission. This position is responsible for evaluating, allocating, and directing all human, physical, and financial resources for their respective divisions.

Essential Functions:
  • Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS).
  • Model, promote, reinforce, and reward the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
  • Interacts with Caterpillar on a regular basis to optimize their involvement and participation with divisional support needs while creating organizational strategic efforts that align with overarching goals.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors the organization's long-term strategic plan.
  • Provides visionary and inspirational leadership by collaborative team building while developing and mentoring sales managers and their respective teams using values-based decision-making skills.
  • Oversees daily operations that manage capital resources and balance stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborates with all stakeholder groups in the Product Support Team to practice ongoing team-development initiatives.
  • Works with the HOLT Marketing team to ensure we are actively promoting and using all Caterpillar offerings toward the achievement of strategic business goals.
  • Aligns the sales territory business practices consistently and effectively with the company's core Vision, Values, and Mission.
  • Responsible for the successful execution of the annual business plan for the product support sales division, ensuring customer satisfaction and optimal profitability.
  • Manages financial and physical resources of product support sales organization to optimize sales throughput and customer experience to meet the balanced needs of all stakeholders.
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills; customer retention.
  • Direct, coach, and lead sales organization and respective teams to increase Product Support Sales revenues using the sales tools, techniques, and market information.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill including formal presentation skills before small and large groups. This role frequently communicates with others, and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products; Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
  • Knowledge of business accounting principles, budget preparation, and strong business acumen.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong strategic and organizational skills to support Caterpillar product and service offerings alignment and company growth.
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel within the organization.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of job-related experience is required.
  • Safety training is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position directs and manages Product Support Sales Managers to include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and developing; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Travel:
  • 40% travel is to be expected.

Physical Requirements:
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
  • Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.

Work Environment:
  • Work is generally performed in a standard office environment.
