Summary
Lidl US is searching for the next Senior Finance Manager to join our team! The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for all matters related to incoming and outgoing payments as well as all cash management. In addition, this role is the main contact and coordinator for all financial topics including but not limited to all financial projects, financial reporting, and treasury management, and will collaborate closely with different stakeholders within and outside the company.
** This position reports to our Headquarters in Arlington, VA on a hybrid 3-day schedule.
What You'll Do
• Supervise, mentor, and manage multiple team members/managers in accordance with Company principles and management model
• Oversee the development, operation, and execution of assigned programs and initiatives in collaboration with cross department stakeholders
• Design process improvement mechanisms including automation of existing processes/tools to ensure standardization and consistency
• Create, optimize, implement, and maintain standardized payment processes for incoming and outgoing payments to ensure cost-efficiency and minimize risk
• Oversee daily cash management such as reconciliation of bank accounts and cash disposition
• Supervise and develop staff in areas of outgoing and incoming payment and support all cash management activities and support in daily tasks
• Develop and oversee national guidelines and workflows for incoming and outgoing payments, short-term investments and liquidity planning as well as cash management, under consideration of global group policies, US regulations, and market standards and innovations
• Create complex cost and scenario analysis and present results to board members and other stakeholders
• Ensure the utilization of internal controls and standardized procedures for monitoring, processing and releasing payments to minimize risk and prevent fraud
• Provide visual modeling of outgoing and incoming payment procedures and cash management activities
• Participating in national and international projects, producing business requirements, performing business system tests and technical approvals in the course of projects and system releases
• Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Need
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Knowledge and understanding of the principles of corporate finance, accounting, financial statement analysis, US financial market environment, available payment forms and short-term investment options, cash-in-transit, card payments
• Analytical problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task and be proactive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent supervisory and leadership skills, with the ability to train others
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Experience with SAP FI/SAP Retail
Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related field required
• 4-6 years of experience in a related field
• In lieu of degree, 6+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
Preferred Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or MBA
• CFA, CPA certifications
