Job Overview: Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Human Resources Manager will provide broad HR support to the overall organization. The HR Manager position is responsible for aligning business objectives with associates and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to the CPO, management, and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HR Manager maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition. The HRM will lead a small team to deliver the people strategy, manage employee relations, support development, and implementation of strategic projects.
The HRM will enhance the organization's Human Resources processes, procedures and regulatory compliance practices. Comfortable leading and contributing to all aspects of Human Resources: talent acquisition, training and orientation, policy creation and review, employee performance management, compensation management, employee benefits programs and legal requirements. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible to support employee relations needs and support a culture of employee engagement.

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible to support employee relations needs and support a culture of employee engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages employee relations issues to include conflict resolution and complaint investigation. Coach and partner with supervisors on employee engagement and communication.
- Achieve human resources operational objectives by contributing information, preparing action plans, and completing strategic goals.
- Meet and maintain appropriate Human Resources budget items. Communicate variances to Human Resources and/or company leadership.
- Respond to all unemployment claims and attend unemployment hearings as necessary.
- Administer and manage employee benefits process, including new enrollments, changes, terminations and open enrollment. Act as consultant to employee's who have questions about benefits and escalate questions as necessary.
- Ensure benefits plan documents are in compliance and communicated to employees as required. Reconcile monthly benefit invoices. Manage COBRA paperwork. Partner with broker to correct errors or make adjustments.
- Keep employee records complete and up to date.
- Manage and oversight of 401(k) plan, including enrollment, contributions and changes. Active participant in annual 401(k) audit.
- Submit EEO-1 reporting as necessary.
- Investigate and respond to EEOC claims; work with legal counsel as necessary.
- Oversees the completion of performance appraisals by the production management staff.
- Improves Human Resources knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications regarding Human Resource topics and trends.
- Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Understands ETE core values and leads by example.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources or Business
- 5+ years progressive experience in a Human Resources environment, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in management role
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Have a Can-Do Attitude, with good time management, and decision-making skills
- Self-starting and motivated; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others
- Strong communication skills with great attention to detail
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office
