Job Description
As an Human Resource Manager at Simploy, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our clients' HR needs. This position involves a mix of strategic and operational responsibilities, ensuring our clients receive top-notch support in various HR areas. You will be responsible for:
- Developing, updating, and maintaining client company handbooks
- Managing unemployment (UE) claims
- Administer and maintain client preemployment testing including but not limited to, background checks, drug screens and physicals.
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
- Identify client vacancies to post jobs, interview, and select applicants for them
- EEOC Compliance Reporting for any clients who employ over 50 employees.
- Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Assisting clients in developing effective HR policies and procedures
- Conducting HR audits and recommending improvements
- Overseeing Payroll and Benefits Department: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and effective benefits administration
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Handbooks: Create and revise comprehensive employee handbooks tailored to client needs, ensuring they reflect current laws and best practices.
- UE Claims Management: Oversee and manage unemployment claims, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- HR Consultation: Provide expert advice and consultation on various HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Policy Development: Assist clients in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective HR policies and procedures.
- Compliance: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local employment laws and ensure client compliance.
- Training & Development: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance client HR capabilities.
- Supervising Payroll and Benefits Departments: Offer support and guidance on day-to-day processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and effective benefits administration.
Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience (5+ years) as an HR Manager or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
- Experience with PrismHR software a plus!
