We are seeking a dynamic Director of Sourcing to drive excellence across our procurement operations. In this critical role, you will develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with our company's long-term goals, ensuring cost-effective solutions, supplier diversity, and sustainable practices.

As a key leader, the Director of Sourcing will oversee supplier relationships, optimize procurement processes, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver value across all business units. The Director of Sourcing leads the selection and contracting of suppliers, subcontractors, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), Small Business Enterprises (SBEs), and other entities in alignment with business needs. The responsibilities associated with this position include developing and implementing a supplier selection process in collaboration with departments from across the company. Additionally, the Director of Sourcing negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers/subcontractors for the procurement of goods and services to meet desired outcomes while maintaining integrity and ethical relationships. The Director of Sourcing will also establish and manage master agreements and serve as the escalation point for supplier performance issues and resolution. The ideal leader for this position will generate and track annual savings through the effective execution of pricing and partnership strategies. The Director of Sourcing is a subject matter expert who provides expertise and advice on supplier selection, preferred suppliers, and overall sourcing and procurement processes.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities include the following: other duties may be assigned as necessary:

Develop Sourcing/Procurement Policies:
  • Create policies focused on achieving targeted outcomes while preventing the potential for any conflicts of interest, improper relationships, or ethics violations.

Source, Negotiate, and Establish Contracts:
  • Serve as the main negotiator for purchasing contracts, master agreements, and strategic partnerships. Establish a competitive sourcing process that includes proposal evaluation, cost analysis, and quality assessments to ensure the best value. Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers/subcontractors while maintaining integrity and ethical relationships.

Manage Supplier Relationships:
  • Ensure robust two-way communication between the supplier network and the company. Oversee and evaluate contractual arrangements to make sure that vendors are complying with previously agreed-upon terms and conditions. Generate and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that measure the effective execution of pricing and incentive strategies. Initiate changes to supplier relationships as needs dictate.

Collaborative Engagement:
  • Partner with departments such as finance, safety, operations, and business development as well as the general managers at each of the company's locations in the selection of national vendors, DBEs/SBEs, and business partners to ensure strategic alignment, buy-in, best value, and overall effectiveness.


Preferred Experience and Education:
  • Minimum of seven years of related experience in sourcing, business, finance, or procurement.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in an area such as supply chain management, contracting, procurement, business administration, economics, finance, accounting, statistics, math, or communications. Candidates with a master's degree or MBA preferred.

Travel Requirement:
  • Remote
  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time will be expected
