Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate has:
• Bachelor's degree in law, Supply Chain Management, Management, Commerce, Engineering, Operations, Law or other applicable discipline required.
• Demonstrated communication (verbal and written), analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Proficient in English required. Other languages considered an asset.
• Required proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, including but not limited to, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. BI considered an asset
• Knowledge of the logistics (last mile & middle mile) market considered an asset
• Required minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience including sourcing, category and vendor management, purchasing and/or material management. Technical/manufacturing experience and/or or equivalent experience considered an asset.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and manage changing priorities.
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to innovate.
• Strong organizational skills
• High degree of professionalism and discretion is essential.
• Flexibility with work hours and occasional travel may be required.
• Experience with Intake-2-Pay and Sourcing-2-Pay platforms preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development:
- High-Performing Team Management: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of sourcing professionals, providing strategic direction and fostering continuous learning and improvement.
- Culture Cultivation: Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing among team members, emphasizing collective success and individual growth.
- Performance Optimization: Establish clear performance expectations (monitor all resource workloads) and provide ongoing support to optimize team performance (re-allocate tasks as needed) and individual growth.
- Risk Management: ensure continuity of the operations by building redundancies, maintaining knowledge library and cross-training.
- Customer Services: Establish high standards of team customer service.
Strategic Sourcing:
Lead and manage sourcing events, independently or in collaboration with the Director of Procurement & Sourcing:
- Demand Analysis:
- Partnering and collaborating with internal business units and cross-functional team to determine business requirements.
- Market Research:
- Conduct supply market research and baseline spend analysis.
- Sourcing Strategy:
- Establish sourcing strategies that deliver financial and non-financial benefits (e.g. service levels, risk mitigation).
- Tendering (RFx):
- Prepare and issue RFI, RFQ or RFPs as agreed with internal business units and cross-functional team.
- Supplier Evaluation & Selection
- Evaluate responses and conduct negotiations with best-in-class procurement methods (Total Cost of Ownership analysis, impartial scorecards, negotiation tip & tactics to improve negotiation leverage and bargaining power, etc.).
- Provides expert recommendations to internal stakeholders. Establishes and maintains effective partnering relationships within the Business units and internal support organizations and externally with suppliers (occasionally with customers).
- Contract Negotiation:
- Lead contract negotiations and oversee contract drafting and execution.
- Establishes Service Level Agreements with internal customers and Key Performance Indicators for the Organization to meet annual objectives and long-term strategies.
- Supplier Onboarding in collaboration with procurement operations and finance team.
- Supplier Performance & Relationship Management (develop and manages):
- Conducts Supplier Relationship Management framework with key suppliers.
- Expertly uses a complete set of legal, commercial and business principles to develop and enforce partnership agreements with strategic suppliers, in close relation with Legal and other relevant departments.
- Locates appropriate vendors in emerging countries and develops sustainable partnerships.
- Leads market intelligence to identify relevant external innovations and seek competitive advantages by partnering with world-class suppliers.
Category Management
- Leads formulation and implementation of category strategies. Conducts category intelligence research and partners with stakeholders to deliver financial and other performance targets such as service, quality, and risk management.
- Conducts cross-functional cost reduction, cost avoidance and/or net cash working capital improvement initiatives. Builds a culture and delivers sustainable value without compromising supply assurance or quality.
- Contribute to the improvement of internal procurement practices:
- Participate in the establishment of best-in-class procurement methods.
- Develop models to evaluate supplier proposals using quantitative and qualitative criteria.
- Supports Purchasing and Project teams in resolving issues with key suppliers.
- Follows relevant category metrics to consistently deliver the expected cost reduction plans.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Comprehensive Tracking Systems: Develop and uphold comprehensive tracking and reporting systems to monitor sourcing performance (such as (but not limited to: i) RFx activities; ii) spend under management per category and sub-categories; iii) contract renewals; iv) supplier relationship management), delivering frequent updates and actionable insights to senior management.
Operational Excellence & Governance:
- Champion Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize S-2-P processes, prioritizing superior efficiency value, and user experience for all stakeholders involved in procuring goods and services.
- Best Practice Development: Develop and implement best practices, standards, RFx templates and guidelines to streamline strategic sourcing processes, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.
- Strategic Vision Execution: Develop, articulate, and execute the strategic vision and objectives of central-led initiatives, ensuring alignment with the organization's overarching goals.
- Drive Governance: Drive adoption and ensure compliance for S-2-P punchouts or guided buying. Establish a S-2-P governance program to ensure realization of business case benefits (increase spend under management, reduced turn-around-time, etc.). Ensure controls are in place to ensure S-2-P activities are performed in adherence to the Procurement Policy, Code of Conduct and Delegated Authorities. Always ensure segregation of duties is in place. Collaborate w/ Audit as required.
Ambassador
- Act as an ambassador for Strategic Sourcing team and Intelcom:
- Further develop departmental relationships with internal customers through all engagements and current/potential service providers to Intelcom
- Effectively communicate and promote the successes of the team
- Actively engage in learning Corporate and Commercial subject matter, negotiation best practices, Intelcom's and it's Affiliates governance and business processes
