VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE
The VP of Finance accepts the mantle of responsibility to serve and deliver as a key leader of the organization, acting as a strategic copilot to the CFO and accountable for helping to drive the scale of this robust and highly valuable Finance department.

Scope
Reporting directly to the CFO and indirectly to the Executive Team and Board of Directors, the VP of Finance will be responsible for all aspects of financial accounting, analysis, and reporting as a member of the management team responsible for driving strategy and profitable growth. The VP of Finance will bring insightful analysis, process, reporting, metrics, and disciplined control to drive continuous margin improvement and process efficiency. This role will provide key leadership in corporate and operational financial functions including financial and operational control; business integration; capital formation; planning, forecasting and analysis; cash flow; treasury; audit; taxes; information systems; investments; and corporate development. Above all else, the VP of Finance will also be a key contributor to growing EBITDA and increasing the overall value of the enterprise.
As a key member of the management team of this middle market company, the VP of Finance will be challenged to lead as a "player/coach" with a highly entrepreneurial "roll up your sleeves" approach. In this capacity, the VP of Finance will flex from high level involvement including Board collaboration to hands-on operational activities such as day-to-day accounting matters, financial modeling, forecasting, project/product profitability analysis, etc. The ideal candidate will have an operational orientation and will lead in an entrepreneurial, resourceful manner, consistently delivering targeted results with lean resources and an eye toward optimizing the future value of the business. The VP of Finance will partner closely with the CFO, management team, and Board, along with a variety of external stakeholders including auditors, lenders, and legal counsel.

- Help drive the performance, strategic planning, and growth orientation of the business;
- Provide forward looking insight and function as a strategic business partner, enabler, and a problem solver of strategic issues;
- Play a key role improving operational effectiveness across the business;
- Lead, manage, assess, and help build a high-performance team and growth culture based on providing value to internal and external clients, direct communication, compliance, and accountability; and
- Help drive the performance, strategic planning, and growth orientation of the business.
Accounting & Finance
- Provide key leadership in corporate and operational financial functions including financial and operational control; business integration; planning, forecasting and analysis; cash flow; treasury; audit; taxes; and corporate development;
- Drive a rigorous business planning process including operating budgets and results as they affect the long-term performance of the business;
- Create accurate and useful levels of information, performance, reporting, and key metrics on a timely basis for management and other key stakeholders including recommending benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of departments;
- Focus on systems accounting, control, and service issues;
- Assist with the ERP implementation and fully leveraging such systems for better decision making;
- Support the due diligence process and lead the financial integration efforts of add-on segments, leaders, and potential acquisitions;
- Work closely with the outside accounting firm to coordinate timely completion of the annual financial statement review/audit, all tax and reporting compliance including partnership accounting and reporting, state and federal income tax, 1099s, etc.;
- Help manage banking relationships with current lender;
- Leverage advanced MS Excel skills to drive analysis and decision making within the management team and in collaboration with the sponsor; and
- Be well grounded in GAAP, with extensive experience in operational finance and accounting.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field,
- An active CPA that is in good standing is required,
- At least 20 years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position
