Managing Director of Tax ServicesA CRG client is searching for a Managing Director of Tax Services in the Triad! The Managing Director of Tax Services will oversee and manage the Tax Services division, providing strategic leadership and guidance to a small tax team. The role requires a deep understanding of tax regulations, compliance, and planning, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutional clients. This leader will ensure the delivery of exceptional tax advice and services, maintain strong client relationships, and optimize tax strategies in alignment with clients' financial goals. This role requires 7+ years in tax preparations and compliance as well as management experience. Our client is known for their flexible schedule, compensation, and culture!
Location : Greensboro, NC - (1 day remote, 4 days onsite)Salary:
up to $145,000, possibly higher $150,000+, based on experience + ~$25,000 yearly bonus.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a tax preparation strategy, including outsourcing options, to ensure the accurate and timely preparation and filing of approximately 1,000 federal and state individual, trust, estate, partnership, foundation, and gift tax returnsComplete and maintain financial reporting for ~25 Family LLCs, while responding to income tax notices for federal and state jurisdictions as needed.Lead, manage, and mentor a small team, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment.Build and maintain rapport with clients, providing advice, addressing questions, etc.Collaborate with client teams to develop tax planning strategies aimed at minimizing tax liabilities- and maximizing financial outcomes.Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the tax department to enhance productivity and client service delivery.Represent the company in client meetings, industry conferences, and networking events to enhance the firm's reputation and market presence.Stay up-to-date with the latest tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure the firm's tax services remain at the forefront of the industry.Collaborate closely with other senior leaders within the firm to align tax strategies with overall financial goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax services, including experience with trust administration and fiduciary responsibilities.At least 1-3 years in a supervisory roleExtensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations, including tax laws impacting high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients.Strong interpersonal, communication, and client management skills.Proficiency with MS Suite, CCH Tax, Workstream, and QuickBooks preferredCategory Code: JN001, JN005
