A Structurer is a strategic professional who understands risk management and how to develop transactions which meet return hurdles whilst minimizing risk through structuring. The role requires strong relationships with control functions in particular with risk. Excellent communication skills are required in order to negotiate internally and externally, often at a senior level. The role requires commerciality and innovation and an in depth knowledge of how Citi thinks about risk and its policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Support the origination and structuring efforts for NAV and LP financing transactions (tasks include organizing Citi’s client outreach, diarizing prospect call notes, coordinating Citi’s effort in conferences and industry forums, among others)
Assist in negotiation of financing terms and documentation, interacting with external and internal stakeholders
Prepare key transaction analysis, including ad-hoc senior management briefings, transaction memorandums highlighting key risks to senior SES stakeholders, assist in preparation of Credit Risk memorandums, prepare capital analysis memos for RCPG/CIAT
Assist SES Trading and SES IBR with analysis of collateral and valuations and ad hoc queries
Responsible for loan closing responsibilities (tasks include KYC, operational set-up of loan monitoring, among others)
Support the team’s strategic objectives (tasks include support the broader advisory and fundraising businesses as required, assist in the completion of the product NACs, help address internal audits on the business, among others)
Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in structuring
Thorough understanding of asset-backed lending
Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with multiple functional groups in a cohesive manner
Ability to work in the United States (New York)
Education:
Degree in Finance or related field
