Job Title: Production Specialist-1
Job Description
Manufactures data servers for a well-known large distribution company. This is a stable, long-term business opportunity. The facility is clean, mostly temperature-controlled, and metal-free. No metal is allowed on the production floor, and employees will need to go through metal detectors. Required to wear composite shoes begining Day 1. The Production Specialist-1 will have several roles throughout the facility, including warehouse, assembly, and testing. Must be open to moving into multiple positions as needed. Shifts available: 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift.
Responsibilities
Production Specialist-Materials:
Receive product, remove from boxes and plastic wrapping, and put into corrugator to break down boxes.
Label products and place them in proper bins for the 'supermarket'.
Utilize scanner and computers, specifically Excel; comfortable with computers as training will be provided.
Move into different roles throughout the facility as needed; cross-training will be provided.
Production Specialist-Mechanical Assembly:
Work in 9 specific stations down an assembly line.
Utilize an electric screwdriver, which weighs about 5lbs.
Each station should take 90 seconds to complete their part of the assembly line process.
Follow pictures and work instructions provided at each station.
Be comfortable rotating stations and learning different parts of the process.
Production Specialist-Rack Assembly:
Assemble racks using an electric screwdriver where servers will be placed.
Servers weigh about 40lbs, but a tool is provided to lift and place servers, minimizing heavy lifting.
Label and place cables into the server following work instructions.
Training will be provided; no previous experience required.
Be comfortable utilizing tools and working in a loud environment.
