License: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice required. Certifications: BLS - American Heart Association. (ACLS, NRP, PALS as appropriate for unit or service.) Must-Have: Team player, NICU skills, therapy, collection, teaching abilities. Job Description: - Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions according to accepted practice standards.- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.- Evaluate health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data.- Conduct health teaching and health counseling.- Provide therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being, either directly or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching.- Execute delegated medical functions.- Refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.- Document in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.- Utilize resources as needed.- Promote mission, vision, and values of the health care organization and abide by service behavior standards.- Perform other duties as assigned.- May be required to float to other departments based on business need and competencies.- May be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift. Education Required: - ASN - Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. Preferred Education: - Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Preferred Certifications & Licensure: - Certification as appropriate for unit or service.
