License: Current State of Ohio Occupational Therapist License pursuant to Section 4755.02 of Revised Code
Certifications: Biennial renewal of licensure as an occupational therapist
Must-Have:
Job Description:
- Assess clients/consumers' physical capacities, developmental, and psychosocial functions using standardized and non-standardized assessment tools.- Plan, coordinate, and implement occupational therapy group or individual treatment plans.- Determine appropriate therapy techniques and sequence, and coordinate treatment plans with other programs for overall benefit.- Provide consultation with clients/consumers, other health care professionals, and interested parties regarding progress and recommendations for treatment integration.- Participate in planning, organizing, and controlling occupational therapy services, policies, and procedures.- Serve as an interdisciplinary team member and assess suitable adaptive equipment.- Document evaluations, observations, and assessments of client performance and record treatment plans and revisions.- Requisition supplies and equipment while maintaining records.- Keep abreast of current knowledge relevant to occupational therapy through reading and attending in-service and mandated training.- Attend staff meetings regularly.- Assess student needs for occupational therapy and schedule students for therapeutic sessions according to IEP goals.- Collaborate with classroom teachers and residential staff, when appropriate, to implement necessary adaptations and accommodations.- Communicate with parents about student progress through reports and regular updates.- Submit monthly billing for relevant programs and provide input to update the IEP Team and transition team on student progress.- Advise school and parents on resources and equipment.
