Vaccine experience required. License: Registered Nurse (RN) license Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: Epic experience highly preferred; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, Associate degree in Nursing considered with relevant experience or active matriculation in a BSN Program. Job Description: - Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of Relationship-Centered Care through the application of the nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking skills in patient care management.- Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care.- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.- Prioritize all aspects of patient care including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning post-hospital care and delegating to others as appropriate.- Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease.- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing and demonstrate efficient allocation of resources.- Serve as a role model for Relationship-Centered Care practices including Admission Welcome, Bedside Shift Report, and Purposeful Hourly Rounding.- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.- Use evidence-based practices to enhance the understanding of patients' perceptions of care.- Implement quality and safety practices in patient-centered care, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to quality improvement projects.- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned and coordinate with the necessary personnel to ensure efficient patient care and resource management.- Advance clinical competence through continuous learning and participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils and committees.
