Details Client NameMount Sinai West Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyNeuro MS Job ID29357528 Job TitleRN - Neuro Surg - Contract - MSW Weekly Pay$2093.31 Shift Details ShiftNight - 11.5x3 - 07PM Scheduled Hours34 Job Order Details Start Date12/03/2024 End Date03/01/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Clinical Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Neuro Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift, 7 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend required Guaranteed Hours: 34.50 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU/Med Surg/Neuro Surg License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - EPIC experience highly preferred - 1 year of travel experience is required for travel positions Job Description: - Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care using the nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards.- Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking skills in patient care management.- Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in delivering nursing care.- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care.- Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, planning after hospital care, and delegating to others as appropriate.- Educate patients and caregivers, anticipating needs and readiness to learn about their care plan, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing and demonstrate the effective allocation of material resources.- Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family.- Use evidence-based practices to increase understanding of patients' perceptions of care.- Implement service recovery for patients and family members who have concerns.- Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned.- Demonstrate patient-focused and cost-effective approaches to patient care regarding equipment, staff, and supplies.- Document in an accurate and thorough manner in compliance with hospital, regulatory, and legal requirements and standards of care.- Engage in formal and informal peer and institutional review processes.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement quality improvement projects, evidence-based practice activities, and nursing research studies.- Participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils, nursing department committees, and unit initiatives. Education: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. - An Associate degree in nursing is considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN Program.
