Apply Now!Your OpportunityLEAD Operator Compensation $20.60 hourly.Grain experience preferred.This position will trained to tend, operate and oversee all areas within the elevator and office to assure compliance with established procedures relative to quality, productivity and safety. Assure we maintain the highest level of customer service to our farmers and commercial customers.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Ability to operate Smartsoft program, entering all necessary information per load.Communicate with Smithfield Grain (SG) procurement and buyers to understand incoming and outgoing grain contracts.Responsible for grading grain and managing grading procedures set by SG.Work with trucks and farmers to quickly and efficiently load and unload purchased grain.Operate loading/unloading equipment to ship or receive grain products.Inspect facilities daily to ensure equipment maintains proper condition of stored grains.Help facility manager schedule logistics as they pertain to inbound and outbound grain.Maintain and handle inventories to maximize SG Profitability including grain movements, condition, blending of grain/grain products.Identify any problems or improvements and work with facility manager to find solutions.Deal proficiently with customers on a daily basis.Assist in implementing any specific work or safety programs set forth by SG.Responsible for being in compliance with environmental laws and procedures to which Smithfield Foods and Smithfield Hog Production subscribes, SIPS.Report all environmental issues immediately to supervisor.Read and understand the company's emergency notification process and will be responsible for reviewing that policy at their work site.Report to work on all scheduled workdays.Perform other duties as assigned by manager.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
