Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly Reports to: Lead Bus Driver

Year around employment Season may begin in MAY and run through JANUARY. With some downtime

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)

Provide school bus transportation to children, parents, and other passengers as assignedKnowledge of federal, state, local, and other applicable traffic and safety laws, regulations, ordinances, and codesAbility to operate and inspect a school busAbility to comprehend routes, maps, schedules, safety & maintenance manuals, work orders, and correspondencePrepare, maintain and/or submit written reports, inspections, repair/work orders and maintenance logsPerform bus safety, pre/post-trip, and evacuation drillsProvide training and guidance to center staff and volunteersReport maintenance and repair issues to supervisorAbility to operate custodial equipmentClean and maintain custodial and grounds equipment and suppliesPerform cleaning and minor maintenance and repair on center facilities, grounds and playground equipmentPerform cleaning and minor maintenance on bussesAssist in moving and setting up furniture and equipmentSet up/clean up after special eventsSupervise Bus Monitor(s)Maintain grounds: pick up litter and trash, mow grass, weed planting areas, and irrigatePerform snow removal dutiesMaintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and recordsPerform all work duties and activities in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices

Qualifications

Required

Clean driving record which meets Idaho Department of Transportation (DOT) requirementsMust pass a DOT physical examinationMust pass required background checks, including state day care clearanceMust obtain clearance of TuberculosisMust provide proof of auto insuranceMust obtain First Aid and CPR certification

Preferred

High School Diploma or GEDCurrent Commercial Driver\'s License (CDL) with passenger & school bus endorsementOne three months experience and/or training in transportationAbility to read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business setting

Required Physical Demands

Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl; use hands to operate a motor vehicle, manual and powered tools, and equipment; to reach with hands and arms; to climb or balance; and smellThe employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Work Environment

Exposed to moving mechanical parts, power tools and equipment, fumes, and airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock; works in high places and is exposed to outside weather conditions; exposed to hazards of traffic; The noise level is usually moderate

INCENTIVE PAY: \ For BD/LBD new hires & promos:(effective 2/1/22)

\$500 Incentive bonusafter completing 6 mo.\$1,500 incentive bonus after completing 1 yr.\$3,000 incentive bonus after completing 2 yrs.
