Vertex prioritizes winning through people, culture, values, and a relentless pursuit of perfection.Purpose of Role:The HRIS Manager is a key leader in ensuring the efficiency, optimization, and continuous improvement of Vertex's HR systems, with a focus on ADP Workforce Now. This position provides functional and technical team leadership, spearheading system maintenance, enhancements, and new initiatives. By working closely with HR, IT, and leadership teams, the HRIS Manager will play a critical role in driving HR technology solutions that enhance business processes and support Vertex's operational success.Responsibilities:System Management:Lead the management, maintenance, and upgrade processes for ADP Workforce Now.Oversee the administration of validation tables and back-end policies (e.g., benefit enrollments, PTO).Monitor system performance and implement changes to ensure optimal functionality.Project Leadership:Act as Project Manager for HRIS-related partner integrations and special projects.Develop and lead functional and technical solutions, balancing business needs and technical requirements.Manage the enhancement process by identifying opportunities for system and process improvements.Drive decision-making for system patches, upgrades, and vendor functionality roadmaps.User Support & Reporting:Provide system training to users on new functionality, processes, and best practices.Ensure data integrity by monitoring user compliance, identifying trends, and addressing gaps in data quality.Create ad hoc reports, perform data scrubbing, and validate data accuracy following data loads.Research and design standardized reports for various stakeholders, utilizing appropriate tools and systems.Perform special assignments, projects, and other duties as required to support the HR and IT functions.Education & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.5+ years' experience managing ADP Workforce Now, including implementing system upgrades, customizations, and enhancements.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) for reporting and analysis.Proven experience leading HRIS projects, managing multiple tasks with competing deadlines.Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.Strong communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally and drive results.
