Director, People TeamA little bit about our team:The People Team at Warner Chappell Music (WCM) is committed to driving results and supporting the business objectives of WCM and its employees. We do this through value-added partnership and collaboration, serving as a center of expertise for our company culture, and with a customer-centric focus.Your role:This role serves as a hands-on thought partner for business leaders on all matters regarding people and culture and will provide day-to-day counsel and coaching on areas such as employee engagement, talent development, organizational design, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This role will partner and liaise with centralized HR functional areas such as Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition. The Director will have the opportunity to design and drive programs at the company and project manage initiatives accordingly.Here you’ll get to:Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's overall business goals and objectives.Provide coaching to leaders on matters concerning performance development, employee engagement and relations.Work and partner to create, implement, and facilitate training initiatives for employees.Partner with key stakeholders, such as Global Technology and Workplace Experience to create a positive employee experience.Establish and keep strong, positive, consultative relationships by working closely with business leaders and other employees.Work with Talent Acquisition to translate hiring needs and related recruitment efforts.Lead discussion with department heads on high potential talent and develop plans for continued employee engagement.Support annual merit and bonus process.Work with the SVP People and the Warner Chappell People team in driving employee performance, morale and efficiency through the effective delivery of day-to-day People services, as well as through the roll-out of current employee programs.Help design and implement new employee programs aligned with the People Strategy and Company objectives.Serve in an active role to help define, drive, and maintain the company culture at WCM.Conduct research, contribute to projects and timelines, and participate as a hands-on contributor on teams and committees in support of various People initiatives.Coordinate with Total Rewards on benchmarking and salary analysis for current employees and new hires.Respond to all levels of employee relation issues and conduct investigations, partnering with legal counsel accordingly.We’d love it if you also had:A progressive, creative outlook towards HR/People & Culture.Strong interpersonal, diplomacy, communication, and listening skills.Strong organizational and prioritization skills.Ability to present to groups in a confident, engaging and consistent manner.Experience conducting employee relations investigations.Familiarity working with Workday.Curiosity and willingness to explore beyond immediate areas of responsibility.A willingness to learn about music and music publishing.Familiarity with data and reviewing data to support decision making and planning.Familiarity with Google Workspace and collaborative tools such as Slack.8+ years’ experience as an HR generalist or equivalent.Strong project management skills.Working understanding of employment law and other government compliance regulations.Bachelor’s degree required.Ability to coach leaders and make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgement that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, government regulation and law.About us:At Warner Chappell Music (WCM), we shape the culture of songwriting and champion songs that resonate for generations by creating transformational opportunities for songwriters everywhere. $120,000-$155,000Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs.
