Position Summary:This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the software that supports large-scale, highly available systems, ensuring their reliability and scalability. This role involves automating infrastructure management, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement DevOps practices.About Team:Building the right technology foundation for Infrastructure & platforms is vital to success at the scale of Walmart. Our team builds and maintains the foundational technologies that support the tech organization. Included in this are data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure. All of these products and services are supported by scalable and powerful infrastructure, ensuring a secure and seamless employee and customer experience across stores, digital channels, and distribution centers.What you'll do:Design, develop, and maintain software solutions to automate and optimize infrastructure management processes.Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles to ensure scalable, repeatable, and reliable deployment of systems and services.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DevOps tools and practices, enhancing CI/CD pipelines for fast, automated service delivery.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues, improving system performance, reliability, and security.Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve infrastructure operations and software development processes.What you'll bring:Experience in software development, scripting and project management.Knowledge of selected programming languages (e.g. Python, C++) and the Java/J2EE platform.Familiarity with Infra automation/orchestration tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Puppet, Concord, etc.).Familiarity with Hypervisors (e.g. VMWare, Nutanix).Familiarity with API integration between products/applications.Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.Experience using system monitoring tools (e.g. New Relic, Prometheus, etc.) and automated testing frameworks.Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Mac OS, Windows).Familiarity with Hyper Converged Infrastructure solutions.Ability to work independently.About Walmart Global Tech:Imagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people.
