Meshberg Group Architects, an award-winning full-service Interior Design and Architecture firm with offices located in Brooklyn and Miami, currently working on projects nationwide, is seeking an experienced professional for a Project Architect position in our Miami office. Our firm focuses on large-scale multi-family, amenity-driven interior architecture projects where our team leads the design of interior and exterior spaces and high-end private residential.Responsibilities:Assisting with conceptual design, product/material research, code analysis, preliminary specifications, construction document production, and construction administration.Resolve complex technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative technical/constructible solutions.Preparing and responsible for developing construction documents, interior elevations, wall sections, details, and schedules in accordance with the firm’s standards for graphic information.Reviewing and responding to RFI’s, shop drawings, submittals, and material samples.Organizing and managing project documents in accordance with the firm’s standards for documentation.Interacting and communicating effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure coordination and execution of project documents and specifications.Attending and actively participating in client, project team, and construction meetings.Traveling to projects for consultant meetings across the country.Manage communication between the internal project team, client, professional design consultants, contractors, and vendors.Producing detailed meeting agendas, minutes, and checklists in accordance with the firm’s standards.Conduct on-site observations and subsequent documentation.Mentoring of current and future team members.Qualifications:Licensed or non-licensed Architect.A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.A minimum of 8+ years of related work experience (and at least 3 years in one firm) in the United States.Must be proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD (this position will entail drafting and drawing management).3D Modelling (SketchUp or hand sketching) is a plus.Demonstrated success completing one or more buildings as a project architect.Experience with the entire project lifecycle and design process through post-occupancy.Experience reporting to a Managing Principal, and with their guidance, directing a team of architects, designers, and consultants on a day-to-day basis.Experience in Multi-Family Residential, Mixed-Use, Hospitality, and Private Residential.Experience creating NYC/Miami Building Department drawing sets.Extensive experience producing and directing the production of Construction Documentation and Construction Detailing.Extensive experience in Construction Administration.Working knowledge of ADA/FHA, New York City, Miami-Dade/Florida and International Building Codes.Strong organizational and technical capability, including demonstrated experience with preparing, coordinating, and issuing drawing and specification submissions.Exceptional technical and graphic representation skills.Ability to work in a team environment or independently to achieve project goals effectively, efficiently, and within time constraints.Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development.Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and poise.Must be a team leader.
