POSITION SUMMARYSony Corporation of America (SCA), is seeking a Sr Program Manager to join the Digital Transformation (DX) group based in San Diego, CA.Digital Transformation Office, under Sony Corporation, drives delivery of highly impactful program solutions worldwide, across different Sony Group of Companies. We are looking for a highly qualified candidate to focus on digital transformation initiatives across various business groups of SONY. This role will be responsible for driving programs and projects from inception through delivery. The candidate will successfully partner with a globally distributed cross-functional teams to ensure product and operational readiness for market delivery. You will bring your expertise to deliver complex programs by demonstrating excellent planning, execution, partner, risk and dependency management skills.This position is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days on-site in the San Diego Office.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESLead delivery of transformative implementations that integrates digital technologies and solutions in every area of a business

Partner closely with Business Innovation Team, Stakeholders and Senior Leadership to drive programs that transform customer experience, business models and operations by finding new ways to deliver value, generate revenue and improve efficiency

Own and drive end-to-end delivery of multiple strategic and complex cross-regional, cross-functional initiatives with multi-level dependencies.

Understand strategy, objectives, priorities and goals to translate into tactical execution plans

Identify, understand, visualize and manage upstream/downstream dependencies

Anticipate and remove obstacles proactively and effectively

Ensure clear communication for status reporting, issues and challenges to leadership, relevant partners, and team members

Lead continuous improvement efforts to optimize productivity and processes for the organization

QUALIFICATIONS:Your qualifications and experience should include:5+ years of program management experience with software development and delivery

Consistent track record of managing schedules, scope, budgets, dependency, issues/risks, communications, quality/testing plans, and release plans of complex programs

Bachelor's degree and work experience in related domain

Shown technical proficiency and an ability to understand technology, designs, challenges and risks

Proven understanding of software lifecycle, release processes, and iterative development practices

Experience in delivering initiatives adopting modern technologies, big data & analytics

Experience in integrating digital technologies into existing business processes

Experience creating go-to-market strategies and driving go/no-go release decisions

Experience in leading complex, business-critical programs with dependencies across multiple teams including Product and Business Innovation team, Data Scientists, Legal, Marketing and other business teams

Experience creating and delivering executive-level summary reports and presentations

Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills across all levels

Strong decision-making skill

Experience in initiating and driving process improvements

Excel in conflict resolution and negotiation

Experience with collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Project, MS Teams, etc..)

PREFERRED SKILLS:Experience working with globally distributed teams and multicultural working environments

Hands-on experience across more than one development methodology across waterfall and agile

Domain expertise in data analytics, monetization, digital commerce, partner management, portfolio management, process implementation, mobile, and/or web development

Understanding of Japanese language and culture

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $150,000 to $160,000.
