Head of Operations - General ManagerReporting to the CEO, you will be the main representative of the entity and the primary interface between operations, internal, and external stakeholders. The individual will have full responsibility for ensuring the successful implementation of the business plan approved by the Board of Directors. Management of the entity includes, but is not limited to, maintaining the financial viability of the project, establishing policies and procedures to protect and grow the project, issuing periodic reporting as required by the stakeholders and the company governance, overseeing terminal operations, ensuring the accuracy of budgets and financial reports, and maintaining excellent relations with various stakeholders locally and throughout the region. Furthermore, the GM is responsible for compliance with the concession obligations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStakeholder Management and Community EngagementPrimary point of contact at the for facility and interfaces with management and local officials related to all facets of the operation.Collaboration with the Authorities, and any other relevant public and private institutions to protect and promote organization.Lead and promote positive relationships with competitors, fleet, agents, police, pilots, and other organizations to ensure a successful operation.Serve as an active community representative and collaborate with authorities, tenants, vendors, associations, in the implementation of an approved Community Engagement plan.Ensure all passengers are offered the highest and safest service possible when using the facilities.Oversees development of policies and procedures.Oversee the development and implementation of a Health and Safety Plan as well as monitoring compliance with the approved Environmental plan for maintenance and operations.Ensure the facilities are properly maintained, safe and kept in clean condition at all times.In coordination with other stakeholders, oversee the management and implementation of operational activities.Seek continual improvements and take corrective action where needed, manage change and improvements as appropriate.Develop and implement comprehensive revenue strategies and cost control management for the entity, including management of cash-flow, profit and loss, and balance sheet maintenance.Review operating results to ensure budgeted goals are achieved and expenses controlled. This will include monitoring safety, efficiency, performance, and cost effectiveness.Monthly and quarterly reporting as required by the Board and various stakeholders internally and externally.Coordination with external consultants on bookkeeping, tax filing, and AP services.Structure and maintain correspondence management including the archiving of all documents in and out on a SharePoint.Qualifications, knowledge, and experienceBachelor's degree in business, logistics, engineering, or another related topic.20+ years of progressive relevant experience in operations, business, logistics and industry.Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English is required, including the ability to convey technical information to technical and non-technical users.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong stakeholder engagement, and demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, as well as externally.An ability to demonstrate sound judgment and resourcefulness in decision-making and problem-solving.
