A law firm seeks a Principal Attorney with significant expertise in franchise law to join its Business Group in Portland, OR. This role involves supporting a variety of clients in navigating complex franchise matters across diverse industries. The position includes providing end-to-end franchise lifecycle guidance, from drafting agreements and ensuring compliance to managing disputes and regulatory inquiries, while collaborating with a team of skilled attorneys across various practice areas.Duties

Represent franchisors, franchisees, manufacturers, and distributors in franchise and licensing matters.Draft and review franchise documentation, including disclosure documents, registrations, and franchise agreements.Advise on franchise compliance requirements and manage franchise relationship issues.Address government inquiries and support clients in dispute resolution related to franchise matters.Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to deliver comprehensive and strategic legal solutions.Requirements

Experience:

Minimum of 7 years in franchise law, including representation of franchisors and franchisees, drafting franchise documents, advising on compliance, and handling government inquiries.Portable Book of Business:

Required (partial or full).Academic Credentials:

JD from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic achievement.Licensing:

Active license to practice law.Skills:

Strong analytical, legal writing, and client-service skills.Communication:

Excellent communication abilities for effective client interactions.Teamwork:

Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team or independently.Project Management:

Skilled at managing multiple projects and responsibilities with attention to detail.Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Certifications
