Job Summary:
The Department of Art + Art History is currently seeking a Fine Arts Ambassador/Student Assistant to join their team of professionals.
Job Duties:
Provide tours to prospective Art + Art History students.
Present information on the Art + Art History Department studios and degree program.
Assist prospective Art + Art History students with information on the admission process.
Acts as a student peer advisor for new and current students assisting in welcome orientations, etc.
Performs other related duties as required or directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Who May Apply:
Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.
Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.
Work Schedule:
Hours will vary based on class schedule and needs of the department.
Advertised Salary:
$12.00/Hour
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Criminal Background Check: This student appointment may be subjected to a pre-employment background check.
