This role is responsible for creating and maintaining strategic relationships throughout the National Builder's organization and utilizing those relationships to uncover needs which we can fill with our products, services, processes, and designs to establish a differentiated BFS value proposition. Responsible for strategically managing portfolio volume and brand growth within a defined account base and various other business development procedures.Reports to the VP, Sales & Innovation. Works closely with VP, Sales & Innovation and the National Account Coordinators to drive execution on strategic initiatives with key builders to the field. Partners with Corporate resources like Supply Chain, Credit, and Marketing to help facilitate these initiatives.The Ideal candidate can be based in Dallas Texas and or Remote United States.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop and execute a strategic plan to maximize market share and wallet share with key strategic national builder accounts.Utilize the Engage Salesforce CRM platform to identify opportunities and track progress.Establish and maintain relationships with decision-makers.Collaborate and communicate with our Regions and Areas to identify targets and close dealsCultivate and sustain robust relationships with key clients, acting as their primary national point of contact for all inquiries, concerns, and escalations.Take responsibility for bid management and follow-up with customers on share gain opportunitiesDemonstrate a deep understanding of our products and services across our US businessesCommunicate with Supply Chain to develop efficient demand planning to drive value for both BFS and our customer.Performance Metrics

Achievement of sales targets and quotas.Market & Wallet Share gain and loss with key strategic national builder accounts.Successful implementation of manufacturer supply programs like siding, windows, OSB, MWCustomer satisfaction and retention rates.Market insights and feedback provided.Effective relationship management with strategic national builder accounts.

Review progress to goal against chain programming with applicable distributors; utilize programming and other mechanisms within budget to stay on track to goal.Continually review sales against established goals to ensure performance to plan.Conduct regular business reviews with clients to evaluate their satisfaction, identify areas for improvement, and uncover opportunities for growth.Achieve sales plans by developing, cultivating, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and leverage relationships to explore new business opportunities and additional programming.Conduct profitability analysis by account.Other duties as assigned by manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or related field from a four-year college or university preferred.5 years of directly related experience managing a sales department or managing builder relationships within the industry.Or a combination of education and experience.5 years+ of prior experience selling to professional builders is required.Requires up to 50% travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.

COMPETENCIESProven experience in sales and account management, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.A deep understanding of the construction and building materials market.Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Strong analytical thinking, problem solving skills, and attention to detail.Proficiency in using the Engage Salesforce CRM platform and other sales tools.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).Experience addressing strategic issues as well as day-to-day operational concerns.Working knowledge of the national account business model including pricing, programming, program execution, and inventory management; exceptional organizational skills, a positive and problem-solving attitude,Strong work ethic with the ability to change gears and work efficiently.
