Job Summary

The Program Director plays a critical role in supporting the Director of Infrastructure and Innovation by overseeing and optimizing the department's administrative, financial, and operational functions. This position ensures the smooth execution of office operations, provides comprehensive support to the Director, and coordinates departmental activities with precision. In addition to managing the department's financial operations, including budgeting and expenditure tracking, the Program Director is responsible for producing detailed data reports, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies. Interprets University, SUS, and unit policies and procedures for faculty, staff, and students. Provides recommendations to the Director on policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency. Manages the unit's operating budget and expenditures, including account reconciliations, Foundation reimbursements, and deposits. Provides financial analysis and reports to department leadership on budgetary performance. Serves as the Fiscal Liaison for the department, advising leadership on budget discrepancies and ensuring compliance with financial protocols. Collaborates extensively with the Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED) and the College of Engineering and Computing (CEC) Dean's office to address and support the unit's operational needs. This includes ensuring that all processes adhere to university policies and procedures, particularly in areas related to grant administration, research compliance, and financial oversight. Oversees the preparation of requisitions, travel authorizations (TARs), travel reimbursements, and expense reports. Ensures compliance with university procurement policies and facilitates efficient transaction processing. Manages unit credit card transactions, adhering to university policies. Maintains comprehensive transaction records and ensures timely reconciliation. Supports faculty and students with expense report submissions and follow-up. Acts as a proxy approver for HR-related transactions and assists with the logistics of hiring, onboarding, and terminating department employees. Provides oversight for temporary staff and coordinates with central HR as needed. Collects and analyzes unit metrics and provides reports as required. Ensures that academic-related data is properly maintained for decision-making purposes. Facilities the preparation of reports to designated research sponsor and ensures timely submission. Safeguards confidential student, faculty, and staff data, ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws, as well as university policies. Provides high-level administrative support to the Director, including managing the Director's calendar, preparing agendas, handling correspondence, and overseeing logistics for meetings and events. Ensures that the Director is informed of matters requiring immediate attention. Oversees the planning and execution of unit events, including recurring activities and special events such as conferences, webinars, and seminars. Responsibilities include coordinating with speakers, managing communication and mailing announcements, and ensuring all invitees are promptly informed and engaged. Serves as the University's credit card user for departmental transactions. Adheres to University's rules and regulations. Ensures the unit's website is updated and provides updates to the appropriate units for updates and the Director as needed. Supports the unit's efforts in preparing for accreditation visits and other compliance-related activities. Ensures that all necessary documentation is in order and available for review. Represents the unit in interactions with external partners, including faculty from other universities, industry professionals, and the public. Provides exceptional customer service and ensures positive engagement with all stakeholders. Serves as a Public Notary for the unit, providing notary services to faculty, staff, and students as needed. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, education, or related field and six (6) years of related work experience or Master's degree in business, education, or related field and four (4) years of related work experience. Desired Qualifications
