nTop is hiring a Legal Operations Manager. This role will be a part of our mission-critical legal and compliance team. This hire will be responsible for driving operational excellence, efficiency and superb client service by managing and optimizing our legal operations, ensuring compliance, and mitigating operational risks. This role interfaces with multiple stakeholders, reconciling competing needs and managing through complexity to drive change in a responsible and efficient manner. The right candidate will have a strong background in legal operations, operational risk management, compliance, and project management.
This role reports to the General Counsel.
What You'll Do:
Provide day-to-day support to the company's legal and compliance personnel. Administer nTop's contract lifecycle management, sanctions, vendor management, SOC2, and other legal and compliance tools. Implement new policies and procedures to reduce legal and compliance related costs and improve department efficiencies. Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to implement best practices and contribute to the creation and formalization of legal processes. Track, prioritize and manage all incoming requests to the legal team. Administer and assist in expanding the scope of use of nTop's CLM tool (including workflows and playbooks) in support of global contract lifecycle including contract request, contract initiation, review, approval, routing, storage, and record keeping. Administer and maintain the sanctions database. Manage the vendor onboarding and renewal process by leveraging and improving the existing workflow and engaging with relevant stakeholders (e.g., IT, InfoSec, Finance, relevant team leads). Support the Director of Information Security in SOC2 implementation, ongoing InfoSec compliance efforts and ad hoc projects. Create and maintain an approved asset catalog for marketing and promotional activities (in collaboration with Marketing and Product teams). Track and update the database of IP assets (e.g., trademarks, domain names, patent filings). Manage state and municipal compliance registrations and tax filings. Collaborate closely with the Finance team to develop and manage budgets. Implement scalable processes to optimize performance of the legal team and continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies. Assist in the development of company-wide and/or department specific training sessions to support the legal team's processes and initiatives. Collaborate and communicate regularly with internal stakeholders. Assist with general administrative, commercial, risk management and special projects as needed. You are someone who has:
3-7 years of relevant experience, ideally in a high-growth technology company or at a law firm, with experience in the contract field, contracts administration or legal operations. A 4-year college degree or equivalent relevant work experience Expertise with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe, LinkSquares (or similar CLM tool), DocuSign, and Salesforce. High attention to detail, demonstrated program and/or project management experience with the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams. Ability to take initiative and propose solutions to address technical and operational challenges and constraints. Tech-savvy and proficient with technology applications. Creativity and flexibility in completing challenging projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong time management and problem-solving skills, along with a good sense of humor. Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and team skills. Experience with contract management, corporate governance, information security, and compliance (all a plus). Compensation and benefits:
This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive salary and long-term incentives. The expected salary range for this role is between $70,000 and $110,000. nTop offers competitive compensation and benefits packages. nTop considers a number of factors when determining compensation, including education, years of experience, competency levels and other relevant skills and qualifications. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
