Position Summary:The Designer will oversee the design process from conception to final prototype for denim across all TCP/GYM divs and ages and is fully responsible for entire product design including market research, designing, sketching, wash development, specing, and fit. The Designer will build effective collaborative relationships and maintain the unique look, integrity, and vision of the TCP brand.Key Accountabilities:Research competitive markets to identify new trends, fabrics, and techniquesEnsure that the product is consistent with market trends while maintaining the brand identity and business strategyConcept and execute silhouette, wash, fit, and styling directionsSketch and color-assigned categories in IllustratorEnsure that production/sampling packages are accurate and completePartner with the Merchandising Team to set a seasonal framework and ensure creative ideas and business goals are alignedSet seasonal fabric, wash, and trim direction, working with Product Development, Production, and R&D Teams regarding QA results and development issues.Set direction of fit and final approval of fit by collaborating with Technical DesignMaintain daily communication with Merchandising, Product Development, Production, and Technical Design Teams regarding development issuesAdhere to cross-functional calendar and attend all meetings as requiredProvide a positive, challenging work environmentAble to travel Globally to oversee sample making /wash process as neededEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in design or related field3+ years of experience in denim design and wash development- Boys and Kids experience a plusKnowledge of denim fabrications, construction, denim processing, and washSkills and Behaviors:Ability to design around conceptsThorough knowledge of fabrications, silhouettes, colorways, construction techniques, and trimHighly organized with effective communication skillsMust be able to work towards and manage deadlines while shifting prioritiesProficient in Adobe Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design,
