International Trade Associate Attorney

Job Overview :A prominent law firm is seeking an International Trade Associate with expertise in antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations. The role involves supporting the trade remedies section of the firm’s International Trade practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in AD/CVD cases, preferably before the Department of Commerce, International Trade Commission, and the Court of International Trade. The position offers the opportunity to work with both foreign and domestic clients, providing legal counsel throughout trade remedy proceedings, from initiation to judicial appeals.Location :Washington D.C.Duties :Handle antidumping and countervailing duty investigations for foreign and domestic clientsRepresent clients in proceedings before the Department of Commerce, International Trade Commission, and Court of International TradeAdvise clients on the initiation and participation in trade remedy casesAssist in prosecuting or defending AD/CVD casesMinimize client liability during and after formal proceedings, including review processes and judicial appealsNegotiate suspension agreements on behalf of clientsProvide guidance to importers and purchasers facing trade remedy measuresRequirements :Minimum of two years of experience in antidumping and countervailing duty investigationsExperience in cases before the Department of Commerce, International Trade Commission, and Court of International Trade (preferred)Strong analytical, research, and writing skillsAbility to work collaboratively and provide high-level client serviceStellar academic credentialsPrivate sector and/or government experience preferredEducation :Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCertifications :Licensed to practice law in Washington D.C.
