We seek a

Partner Network Coordinator

who will collaborate with organizations worldwide to advance projects that will expand accessibility of the Lab's resources and increase data collection. This role will coordinate translation activities to offer eBird and Merlin Bird ID software applications in more than 40 languages. The Partner Network Coordinator will also strategically grow partnerships with communities to produce products (often software) and training activities that enable the goals of our partners. These efforts will contribute to more diverse, equitable, and inclusive outcomes in engagement and conservation.What We Need

Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, environmental studies, or related field and 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination working in conservation, birding, or related field.Fluency in Spanish to develop resources in Spanish and communicate with communities and partner organizations in Latin America.Deep understanding of birds and the birding community is required.Experience watching birds and working on projects to advance birdwatching and bird conservation.Project management skills to coordinate multiple groups working towards the same deliverable and timeline for public software releases and community outreach events.Familiarity and proficiency with content management systems to manage translations in 40+ languages and promotional activities for outreach events.Strong interest in engaging the public in data collection and watching birds.High level of proficiency of common computer skills including Word, email, PowerPoint, and Excel.Strong communication skills to clearly articulate vision and plans, and provide instruction effectively to all levels of management, staff, new partners, funding agencies, project participants, and visitors.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff internally and externally.Strong interpersonal skills to develop trust with external collaborators and encourage participation in projects.Preferably, the successful candidate will also have the following

Proficiency in Portuguese to facilitate working with collaborators in Brazil.Experience with GIS, SQL, and/or R data analysis tools to deliver custom data reports to partners.At least five years of experience using eBird, Merlin, and other Lab resources.Knowledge of birds of the world.If you are passionate about birds, conservation, and scientific discovery, we encourage you to apply!This position is located at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology in Ithaca, NY.
