Job Description
The Director of Talent Management will oversee the full life cycle of recruitment to attract top talent for Blackwood and develop programs that ensure effective retention, promotion, and succession planning. This role will function as a strategic business partner to hiring managers and organizational leadership, fostering impactful relationships that align talent initiatives with Blackwood's business goals. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Talent Review & Development:
Design, develop, and implement a talent review process to identify and develop an internal bench of high-potential employees. This process should align with Blackwood's strategic business goals, ensuring a sustainable pipeline of talent.
Participate actively in organizational strategic planning, providing expertise in performance management (PM) and quality improvement (QI) policy development.
Recruitment & Sourcing:
Collaborate closely with hiring managers to create and execute sourcing strategies that attract high-quality candidates and enhance Blackwood’s brand in the talent market.
Drive innovative sourcing techniques and implement creative strategies to build a strong talent pipeline for both current and future hiring needs.
Conduct the full recruitment lifecycle for all personnel types (full-time, part-time, temporary, contract, and intern) with an emphasis on reducing time-to-fill and minimizing cost-per-hire through streamlined processes.
Stakeholder Relationships & Collaboration:
Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization to positively influence hiring outcomes and ensure alignment with Blackwood’s culture and values.
Develop partnerships within the hiring community and collaborate with external networks to strengthen recruitment efforts.
Retention, Promotion, & Succession Planning:
Establish and maintain effective programs for workforce retention, promotion, and succession planning, with clear metrics to measure program success and impact on employee satisfaction and engagement.
Performance Management & Talent Development:
Ensure talent management initiatives align with organizational goals to drive operational and program efficiencies.
Define and document roles and responsibilities within the hiring team, setting clear service-level agreements (SLAs) to optimize the recruitment process.
Training & Education:
Lead presentations and training sessions for hiring managers and other stakeholders to promote best practices in recruitment, retention, and employee development.
Ensure that hiring managers are equipped with the tools, skills, and resources to effectively manage recruitment and performance processes.
Basic Qualifications
US Citizen
Willingness to permit a Background Check
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field; a Master’s degree or advanced certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
8+ years of experience in talent management, recruitment, or human resources, with a track record of successfully leading and implementing talent initiatives.
Proven experience in strategic workforce planning and managing talent initiatives across a growing, multi-functional organization.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with excellent skills in problem-solving, data analysis, and relationship-building.
Experience with HRIS systems and data-driven decision-making, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Additional Qualifications
Experience designing, developing, and supporting organization-wide talent management programs that cover performance management, talent development, coaching, succession planning, data analytics and relationship management.
Familiarity with the IT or technology reseller industry is highly desirable, or demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to and understand industry-specific talent needs and challenges.
