a Senior Manager, Event Marketing
with experience in global event or association marketing. This is a critical role within our organization as it requires understanding of product, research, and insight as well as paid, promotional, and on-site marketing experience. It reports directly to the Director of Marketing.Make an Impact by…Working directly with the Director of Conferences and Events to devise compelling pricing and marketing strategies that increase event attendance and grow the audience across the portfolio.Setting strategy, building relevant campaigns and guiding tactics for a broad portfolio of ATD Events, including ATD’s International Conference & EXPO, that drive conversions.Staying on top of global talent development and HR industry audience trends and content consumption to inform insight-driven, content-rich marketing plans.Driving global delegation engagement and event participation.Establishing budgets for marketing spend and executing efforts within budget.Identifying campaign themes, tactics, and channels, and managing the timely execution of content creation, copywriting, website updates, collateral creation, and other materials as warranted within the team of direct reports.Working with external vendors and partners to reach prospect audiences, including telemarketing, list rentals, and media trades.Working in partnership with Membership, Content, Global Product, Education, and Enterprise Solutions teams to identify areas of opportunity where we can cross-promote, bundle, and partner in accordance with loyalty and member needs.Proactively managing and developing two direct reports.Contributing to cross-functional marketing team initiatives including association-wide sales, lead gen efforts, and other projects.Developing analytics to monitor performance, track progress against objectives, and identify new areas of opportunity.What you Bring to this Role…7+ years of relevant experience marketing products and services, focus on events preferred.Experience managing high-performing direct reports.Extensive digital marketing expertise in both SEM and paid social.Expertise in product pricing and promotion.Knowledge of paid, earned, and owned media strategies.Expertise with marketing automation.Strong copywriting skills.Ability to communicate, inspire, and collaborate.Exceptional executor with proven, quantifiable results.Be a coach, as well as a team player.Creative problem solver.Strong culture fit in diverse, driven, and highly accountable environment.Ability to influence without direct authority and function well within and across teams.Our Work Environment…The Association for Talent Development is a hybrid organization headquartered in Alexandria, VA.
