The Office of College Admission supports this mission through the recruitment, selection, and enrollment of students that will embrace the rigorous yet flexible Open Curriculum and challenge each other intellectually while fostering a community centered around kindness and questioning.The Campus Visits and Events Manager is responsible for oversight of all events and the campus visit experience sponsored by the Office of College Admission. Events are conducted on-campus, off-campus, in-person, virtual and hybrid. This position will serve as the leader of all campus visit initiatives, including campus tours, information sessions, group travel consortiums, conferences, on-campus programming for high school students and counselors, admitted student days, staff training programs, and other special events. This position will oversee one full-time staff member and student employees. Additionally, this position works closely with admission staff who are assigned supportive roles within the daily visit program. The Campus Visit and Events Manager collaborates with admission staff, university departments, and outside venues and vendors for program-related services. This position serves as a primary advisor to the Director of Communications and Outreach in matters and strategies regarding recruitment and yield.Qualifications:Required: Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5+ years of experience in event planning, project management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Required: Knowledge and understanding of meeting and event planning principles, requirements, procedures, and available resources.Required: 1+ year of supervisory experience.Preferred: Experience in college admission or student services at a university.Superior degree of professionalism, interpersonal, and oral/written communications skills.Demonstrated skills in the areas of customer service and team-oriented project management (preferably in an academic or public service environment).Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to plan and implement short and long range goals.Willingness and ability to work both independently and with groups.Ability to perform complex tasks and prioritize multiple projects.High attention to editorial and logistical detail.Experience with Zoom webinar and hosting virtual events.Independent decision-making skills and strong sense of judgment and discretion at all times.Proven ability to work collaboratively with varied constituencies including admission office colleagues, students, parents, coaches, alumni, faculty, secondary school personnel and related community agencies.Availability for weekend projects as needed.Driver’s license.Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.Salary Grade: 10All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
