IT Administrator Needed to lead administration/configuration of the Teamcenter PLM system, including installation, customization, and troubleshooting. Use 3-D CAD/CAE Model in the Teamcenter Application to grasp an understanding of numerous engineering and design applications used in the production environment globally. Provide global customer production support using the BMC or IT Connect system when responding to requests or incidents related to application functionality or the server (UNIX &Windows) environment. Use ability work with & share knowledge (KT) with other team members conduct knowledge transfer to other administrators within our team and our team in Chennai India via web-ex. Share knowledge of new application functionality (i.e., start & stop the application; password change cadence; application changes to match business requirements. Perform analysis of Windows & UNIX hardware and software (I.E. disk capacity; memory capacity; CPU utilization). Software code troubleshooting by extracting log files from the server file structure & creating a zip file for analysis. Use knowledge of the Application Servicer, recognize when a request for additional disk capacity is necessary on a NAS storage device (i.e. add more volume or switch volumes.) Respond to monitoring tools running in Windows & UNIX environments by troubleshooting production issues until resolved (i.e., windows applications such as engineering translation services (i.e. cadtojt translations). Utilize understanding of monitoring tools like Splunk to take corrective action using monitoring tools to trouble shoot aides when we experience a production issues (i.e., applications down condition; or running slow; running out of disk capacity effecting application functionality) Develop monitoring tools to perform repetitive tasks for efficiency (i.e., cronexecutable files) utilizing Windows shell scripting skills to perform repetitive tasks for efficiencies (i.e., requires admin to have UNIX programming &Windows programming language), Application services (i.e., catia2jt; catia2cjr; fides2jt data translations), Memory, Disk capacity, and Java processes. Utilize Application Development Organization understand & deploy software updates for applications and into the server directory structure on a frequent schedule (Windows &UNIX) using Jenkins (software deployment tool) to deploy new or updated software into the production environment on the Windows & UNIX Servers (weekly cadence). Manage system operations across Windows, Unix, and Linux environments, ensuring stability, performance, security. Perform data analysis tasks, including data cleansing, transformation, & interpretation, to support business requirements & decision-making processes. Good experience in root cause analysis during application failures and bringing back the application to normal business usage. Administer Oracle and SQL Server databases, including database creation, maintenance procedures. Configure & manage web tiers, JBoss and IIS, to support Teamcenter and other web-based applications. Develop & implement system monitoring solutions to proactively identify & address performance issues & potential failures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business within the Teamcenter and system administration domains and ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior administrators, sharing best practices and guiding them in their professional development. Engage with IT departments: lead discussions about stability, reliability, security. Stay abreast of industry trends/advancements in PLM, system administration, data analysis, database management, web technologies, cloud computing, & system monitoring. Continuously supervise & optimize the performance of the PLM system to ensure efficiency & reliability.
