For our client in Vlissingen, we are hiring a

Configuration Process Manager .We are seeking a skilled Configuration Process Manager to lead and optimize the Configuration Management (CM) process for our naval shipbuilding projects. This role will be critical in ensuring that all projects are executed with precision, adhering to technical requirements and industry standards. You will work closely with various teams to improve processes and ensure compliance with the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will drive the continuous enhancement of configuration management within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Developing and Improving CM Processes: Lead the creation, compliance, and continuous improvement of configuration management processes, ensuring they are fully documented within the Damen Naval Management System (DNMS).Creating and Managing CM Plans: Develop and oversee Configuration Management Plans (CMP) for tenders and naval shipbuilding projects, ensuring alignment with project planning and financial objectives.Coordinating Change Requests: Manage change requests by identifying needs and submitting them to the Change Control Board, ensuring smooth and efficient CM processes.Leading CM for New Projects: Oversee the configuration management setup for new naval shipbuilding projects, working closely with customers, partners, and co-makers to ensure seamless implementation.Managing Data and Information Flow: Ensure that the distribution and exchange of data adhere to CM principles, maintaining strict compliance with internal standards.Auditing Deliverables: Conduct audits of project deliverables, ensuring that maintenance and training documentation is collected, distributed, and fully compliant.Reporting and Advising: Provide management with expert advice and insights on configuration management, offering clear solutions to address any CM-related challenges.Training and Coaching: Educate and support CM representatives and project teams, ensuring they are equipped to meet internal CM standards.Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and refinement of CM processes, ensuring they remain aligned with the department's goals and best practices.Minimum Requirements:At least 5 years of experience in leading teams and managing engineering processes for complex systems, preferably within shipbuilding or similar industries.In-depth knowledge and extensive experience with configuration management practices, ideally holding a CM-II certification or equivalent.Strong understanding of various engineering practices, ideally in engineering-to-order industries.Proven ability to inspire and lead teams in adopting new and improved configuration management processes and practices.Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to act as the internal authority on Configuration Management within the organization.Fluent in English, with proficiency in Dutch (written and spoken) considered a plus.Excellent references, as a pre-employment security screening is part of the recruitment process.Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required.
