Req #457Thursday, October 31, 2024The Fund for Public Health in New York City (FPHNYC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to the advancement of the health and well-being of all New Yorkers. To this end, in partnership with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), FPHNYC incubates innovative public health initiatives implemented by DOHMH to advance community health throughout the city. Itfacilitates partnerships, often new and unconventional, between government and the private sector to develop, test, and launch new initiatives. These collaborations speed the execution of demonstration projects, effect expansion of successful pilot programs, and support rapid implementation to meet the public health needs of individuals, families, and communities across New York City.PROGRAM OVERVIEWThe Division of Information Technology aims to align technology solutions with the DOHMH mission by prioritizing resource use and deploying innovations that facilitate the agency’s day-to-day activities and enhance staff productivity and efficiency. Our goal is to provide users with a reliable, stable, and safe computing environment, through the collaboration of the Bureau of Technology Strategy & Project Management provides business analysis and IT project management services to define and deliver IT solutions that meet all program needs.POSITION OVERVIEW:DIT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects from inception to completion. This role will involve coordinating project teams, managing budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. .RESPONSIBILITIES:• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation• Lead and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders• Monitor project progress and identify potential risks, developing mitigation strategies as needed• Track project performance and report on status to senior management• Manage project budgets, ensuring costs are aligned with approved estimates• Facilitate change management processes and address project challenges effectively• Ensure adherence to project methodologies and standards• Coordinate with various departments and vendors to ensure project successQUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field• PMP certification or equivalent preferred• Minimum 5 years of experience managing IT projects• Proven track record of successful project delivery• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira)SALARYSalary range is $100,000 to $135,000WORK SCHEDULE9 AM – 5 PMMonday – FridayIn-OfficeLocation:42-09 28 th Street, Long Island City, NY, 11101.BENEFITS AT A GLANCEFPHNYC offers a comprehensive benefit packageGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO) policyMedical, dental, and life insurance with low or no employee contributionA retirement savings plan with generous employer contributionFlexible spending medical and commuter benefits planGenerous and flexible work from home policy with up to three days working at homeFun hybrid office environment and passionate teamFun all staff events all year roundMeaningful work at an organization striving to advance health equity and social justiceRESIDENCY REQUIREMENTYou must live in New York City Tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) in order to be considered for a position at FPHNYC.TO APPLYTo apply, upload Resume, including how your experience relates to this position.
