General Summary:
COLSA Corporation is seeking an experienced and motivated Systems Analyst to support Virtualization and Cloud Platform efforts on our Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) Enterprise Information Technology Support Services (EITSS) contract. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated experience in VMware vSphere, vRealize Suite, ESXi, Windows Server, Linux, DoD STIGs, and networking. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure in a high-security, Department of Defense (DoD) environment. You will work closely with Senior Systems Analysts and other members of the Information Technology (IT) team to ensure all systems and applications are running efficiently and effectively, meeting the DoD's standards for performance, security, and compliance.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
Manage and maintain the VMware vSphere infrastructure, including vCenter, ESXi hosts, vSAN, and NSX-T.
Administer and configure vRealize Suite components, including vRealize Operations Manager, vRealize Log Insight, and vRealize Life Cycle Manager.
Manage and configure VMware Cloud Director environments.
Create and manage virtual data centers and deploy virtual machines.
Administer Windows and Linux systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of applications and services as they relate to the infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other security standards and guidelines.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Perform system backups and disaster recovery operations.
Provide technical support to other Project/System Administrators.
Participate in project planning and execution.
Required Experience
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.) or equivalent experience
Minimum of 10 years of work-related experience
Administration experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, ESXi, Windows Server, Linux, and DoD STIGs
Experience with developing scripts to perform administrative duties associated with configuring ESXi and hosted Windows and Linux VMs
Experience with DoD security requirements and regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Current CompTIA Security+ CE
Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
U.S. Citizenship required; Active DoD Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Self-starter, driven, and results-oriented professional with excellent collaboration skills is highly preferred
