Headquarters is based in Washington, DC, operating in a hybrid work model with remote and required in-office days each month.Supervisory : The Senior Engagement Specialist, Membership & Chapter Relations reports to the Director of Membership and Chapter Relations.Position Summary:
The Director of Membership and Chapter Relations develops and implements programs to support overall strategic growth through membership recruitment and retention campaigns, member engagement tactics, day-to-day membership operations, and standards to deliver efficient services to the membership. In addition, this position manages the relationship and communication with WTSI chapter leaders, supports chapter operations, and engagement with WTSI.WTSI Membership Operations ManagementImplement membership strategies, plans, and tactics to promote and ensure a compelling value proposition is delivered to members and prospects.Lead the development and implementation of organizational data analytic practices, performance and operational metrics, and develop a membership department dashboard.Conduct financial forecasting to develop, track, and report on membership project plans and metrics to accomplish strategic priorities.Review and report membership financials, participate in the annual WTSI budgeting development.WTSI Member CommunicationsDevelop a comprehensive membership marketing and communications plan.Collaborate with Communications and Programs staff to develop and distribute all market-specific outreach and collateral material to effectively communicate the value of WTSI membership including association membership materials.Collaborate with Systems staff to ensure the quality and accuracy of member data, and recommend methods to enhance data collection and analysis to support plans for member and Chapter engagement; seek troubleshooting system support for issues impacting member engagement or data management.WTSI Chapter RelationsMaintain strong partnerships with WTSI Chapters and Chapter leadership by ensuring efficient operational support, maintaining service offerings, programs, and leadership support.Develop interest and assist chapters from formation through to ratification.Oversee distribution of monthly membership reports to chapters.Oversee quarterly report submissions from chapters for integration into the WTSI annual report.Oversee annual chapter roster submissions, ensure accurate upload to AMS (ACGI).Ensure timely processing of chapter questions and inquiries through Zendesk (internal ticketing system).Track and assess chapter engagement and outreach.Track, assess and maintain records on chapter compliance.Maintain accurate chapter records including rebates and foundation reports.Provide quarterly and annual reports on chapter organizational health and compliance to Chapter Agreements.Develop and disseminate digital assets on best practices in member retention.Develop and maintain student chapter requirements and engagement.Represent WTSI at Chapter and Industry events, as requested.Serve as a staff liaison to WTSI Committees, as assigned.WTSI ProgramsCollaborate with Communications, Meetings and Events departments, and Board committees to develop, execute, and provide relevant, high-level content and assets in support of WTSI member and chapter programs.Lead monthly calls with chapters in formation, tracking progress to ratification.Develop and lead quarterly calls with Chapter Membership Chairs.Create and execute bi-annual chapter competition programs.Oversee tracking for annual chapter circle of excellence program.Develop content for annual chapter circle of excellence awards program.Develop and present relevant, high-level content for chapter leader training.Provide strategic support in identifying and launching new programs.Other projects as assigned.Please note:

Direct experience interacting with Board of Directors and Committees, and volunteer management. Certified Association Executive Certification (CAE) a plus.A minimum of five years supervisory experience.Demonstrated experience in growing membership/customers and strengthening membership/customer retention.Demonstrate problem-solving skills with stakeholders, anticipate needs, determine priorities and meet deadlines.Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.Experience with database management.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to high level of customer service.Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills in order to interact effectively with members and customers outside the organization.Ability to prioritize and follow through effectively.Ability to travel to represent WTSI at professional conferences, leadership meetings, and in the normal course of membership development activities.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
