General Nature of WorkThe ideal candidate will leverage data-driven insights to guide strategic planning, inform policy development, and support collaboration across stakeholders in the energy sector. Primary ResponsibilitiesMarket Research and Data Analysis:

Conduct comprehensive research and data analysis to identify and forecast market trends that impact SC Nexus initiatives.Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate with researchers, industry partners, and government entities to provide analytical support for projects related to energy storage, advanced manufacturing, and national energy security.Industry Monitoring:

Monitor industry developments in the energy sector, particularly energy storage technologies, to ensure SC Nexus remains informed of key advancements.Data Interpretation and Reporting:

Analyze and interpret data from various sources, ensuring reports and insights are accurate, reliable, and actionable.Report and Dashboard Development:

Develop reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to internal teams and external stakeholders.Cost-Benefit Analysis:

Perform cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making processes and strategic initiatives.Strategic Insight Generation:

Provide data-driven insights to guide SC Nexus's strategic planning, policy development, and long-term goals.EDA Grant Compliance:

Track and analyze performance metrics related to Economic Development Administration (EDA) grants, ensuring full compliance with grant requirements.Grant Reporting:

Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation required for EDA grant compliance, including tracking project milestones, financial performance, and other required metrics.Economic Development Project Tracking:

Monitor and track the progress of economic development projects tied to SC Nexus, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and reporting on key milestones.Impact Evaluation:

Support the SC Nexus team in evaluating the impact of economic development projects, including job creation, capital investment, and technological advancements, and ensuring these projects meet established targets.Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelor's degree and relevant project management experience.Preferred Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

Analytical and Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to process complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.Research Skills:

Excellent research skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.Cost-Benefit Analysis:

Proficiency in conducting cost-benefit analyses and making data-backed recommendations.Communication:

Strong oral and written communication skills, able to present data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Data Tools Proficiency:

Experience with data visualization tools and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).Teamwork and Independence:

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Economic Development Tracking:

Experience in tracking and monitoring economic development projects, with a strong understanding of how to measure their impact on job creation, capital investment, and broader community benefits.Industry Knowledge:

Knowledge or experience in energy storage technologies, manufacturing processes, or related industries is a strong plus.Grant Compliance Experience:

Experience in grant compliance, particularly with EDA grants, including tracking and reporting on metrics and milestones is a strong plus.Preferred Qualifications:Work Experience:

2+ years of experience in a related role.Grant Compliance Experience:

Experience in grant compliance, preferably with federal or state grants, is highly desirable.Project Tracking Experience:

Experience in tracking and analyzing economic development projects, with demonstrated success in reporting outcomes.

Additional Comments

Must possess a valid driver's license. Position requires moderate in-state travel.
