Overview:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer III to join our DevSecOps team and take a leading role in enhancing, maintaining, and supporting CI/CD pipelines and automation processes across various environments. This role will involve creating scalable and reliable automation solutions, optimizing batch jobs, and maintaining high availability in development, test, training, and production environments. The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in complex enterprise IT automation, leveraging a wide array of tools and frameworks to manage infrastructure, deployments, and configurations. This position operates with minimal supervision and offers ample opportunity for independent initiative and judgment.
Responsibilities:
Develop, monitor, and optimize batch jobs and operations.
Evaluate current technology and processes, suggesting and implementing improvements for efficiency and scalability.
Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines; install, configure, and maintain CI/CD tools.
Develop, deploy, and maintain IT solutions, including automating deployments across environments.
Optimize and document processes to streamline deployments and reduce errors.
Utilize configuration management software for deployment automation across production and non-production environments.
Provide support for production and non-production environments, ensuring availability and addressing any related issues.
Actively support sprint and release activities, providing on-call support as needed.
Develop and propose new automation solutions to expand and enhance current capabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
10+ years experience in automation across full lifecycle enterprise IT environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), and CI/CD tools in integrated solutions, specifically in environments using IBM WebSphere, MQ, Oracle products, AWS.
10+ years designing and implementing scalable, repeatable, and recoverable automation solutions.
10+ years of experience with advanced automation tools, such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible Automation Platform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Liquibase.
8+ years of experience with scripting/programming languages such as Python, GoLang, Shell, Ruby, Bash, and Perl.
8+ years of experience with containers and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, Podman, Docker, OpenShift, Rancher; familiarity with packaging tools like Helm Charts and Kustomize.
8+ years working with Linux and Windows operating systems.
8+ years designing and implementing solutions using the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
8+ years of strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
5+ years experience in Java development, including frameworks like J2EE, Spring Boot, EJB, JSP, and JavaServer Faces (JSF).
5+ years experience with WebSphere ND, MQ, Oracle, SQL tools (e.g., PL/SQL Developer, SQL*Plus), LDAP, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
