Systems Architect III

Beacon Technologies is seeking a Systems Architect III for our client partner. The Systems Architect assists with the design and development of current internal business systems, working with the CHEMS Lead. They possess experience in software design and development with a focus on the integration of internal business systems across multiple functional areas, notably finance/accounting, financial transaction processing, supply chain transaction processing, etc. This position will work with general supervision, and priorities will be coordinated & approved by the CHEMS Lead. The role requires transitioning Counties from their current software packages to the CHEMS system. The candidate should have experience in the design and integration of business applications and enterprise IT infrastructure, designing IT infrastructure components and architecture, and developing custom modules/solutions integrated with packaged solutions. Proven methodology experience for complex systems integration projects and a demonstrated ability to achieve deliverables on time and on budget are essential. Systems Architects should have 5 or more years of experience, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, independently performing a variety of complicated tasks, with a wide degree of creativity and latitude expected.The developer will implement, support, maintain, and enhance the County Highway Expenditure Microcomputer System (CHEMS) and CHEMSPRO (GUI version) that is in the process of being implemented. Familiarity with WisDOT, DTSD, Bureau of Highway Operations (BHO) project and activity accounting and business practices is necessary. The individual will also have an extensive background in software analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation, along with a broad range of networking infrastructure knowledge and experience. Great communication skills, a problem-solver attitude, and the ability to work independently are required.Top Skills & Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience in the following:SQL/PL SQL experienceObject-oriented programming languages using Virtual Component Library (VCL)MS Windows 11 EnterpriseWindows Server 2015+The contractor must also have extensive knowledge of a Windows-based application target platform and software development tools:Oracle RDBMSPL/SQL DeveloperOracle DB Admin Tools, Enterprise ManagerPreferred Skills:Delphi programming experience using RAD Studio 2007+Basic Accounting knowledge, as the architect is in charge of an accounting program package that various counties useThe contract developer is expected to provide, or be able to perform, the following to support the existing CHEMS system:County-facing software, phone, and electronic support for sixty counties within the State of Wisconsin.New county software installations with one-on-one training.Data conversion from source legacy to target systems.Participation in State-wide meetings to support and enhance CHEMS.Provide CHEMS system & process training to small and large groups.Software and system enhancements to the existing Oracle version 19c database.Import/export integration programs to transfer data in and out of CHEMS.SharePoint site administration (limited duties).Release management for periodic CHEMS software releases.About Beacon TechnologiesAre you looking to advance your career in information technology?
