Senior Manager, AccountingWe’re looking for… As the Senior Manager, Accounting, you’ll report to the VP, Controller and have direct oversight of all aspects of SG&A accounting within our corporate accounting team. Additionally, you’ll coach, develop, and lead a team of Accountants. You’ll lean into your strategic and consultative approach to drive impact as a key business partner and uncover opportunities/ tease out solutions that focus on incremental process improvement and efficiency. Last, but certainly not least, in partnership with your Corporate Finance peers, you’ll seek out opportunities to increase Rue Gilt Groupe’s ability to anticipate business fluctuations and drive informed decision-making.The Senior Manager, Accounting position is based in our
Boston, MA HQ
and will be expected to work a 2-day in-office hybrid schedule.What You'll DoManage month-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.Prepare, analyze, and present financial results for SG&A, identifying key trends and variances to forecast.Work with operations, marketing, and procurement teams to accurately capture transactional data and assess accounting treatment for new transactions.Ability to proactively seek out explanations and understand the drivers of change to then be able to explain the “why” behind transactions is critical, along with ability to communicate and document drivers in schedules, roll forwards, etc.Partner with Finance, Operations and other cross-functional teams to collect and share data to assist in presenting complete and accurate financial records.Provide guidance and coaching with a focus on skill development, collaboration, and empowerment to think creatively and drive innovation.About YouBachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting required; Masters Degree/CPA preferredProgressive accounting experience including managing a small team; a mix of public accounting experience and retail/consumer market experience preferredExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsWell organized and capable of managing multiple projects in dynamic fast-paced environmentAbility to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholdersProficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.Rue Gilt Groupe is committed to providing Associates with equal pay for equal work and carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to, prior experience, education, certification(s), license(s), skills and expertise, location, internal equity, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need.
