We strive to foster an environment you can thrive in through our commitment to diversity, inclusion and belonging.The Vice President, Project Finance will be responsible for developing investor relationships, originating financial partnerships and structuring renewable transactions, including back leverage, cash equity, tax equity, and other financing opportunities. The Company is seeking an experienced renewable energy finance professional to serve as a leader in the group and play a key role in the development and implementation of innovative financing structures that drive the growth and profitability of the Company. This position will report directly to the Head of Project Finance and will manage several team members in the Project Finance Group that are involved in deal management as well as due diligence and financial modeling efforts.Responsibilities:

Playing a lead role in structuring, executing and maintaining residential solar financings, including working with law firms and external investment bankers to negotiate and execute capital markets transactions.

Maintaining existing relationships and developing additional sources of tax equity, debt and cash equity financing to support the breadth of the company’s development efforts.

Overseeing the company’s project finance projections and analysis.

Coordinating with multiple groups within the company to complete various 3rd party due diligence requests while developing expertise on all aspects of the Company’s business practices.

Supporting broader treasury, budgeting, and financial planning and analysis matters to ensure full internal alignment on financing obligations and expectations.

As part of an entrepreneurial organization and finance team, a willingness and desire to be involved in many aspects of the organization.

Qualifications:

8-10 years of experience with a developer, investment firm, or investment bank specializing in power/energy/utilities, including at least 3 years in the US renewables industry.

Bachelor’s degree.

MBA or Masters Degree preferred.

Experience in structuring, negotiating and closing various renewable energy financings, including tax equity partnerships, debt financings, and/or cash equity transactions.

Experience negotiating contracts, term sheets and other legal documents.

Financial modeling capabilities to review and support junior team members, as well as develop junior talent.

Existing relationships with project finance and tax equity professionals in the sectors.

Curiosity around distributed generation, storage technology, as well as power markets more generally.

Strong organizational and people skills, combined with analytical and quantitative capabilities.

Understanding of solar + storage renewable energy systems at a commercial level to be able to drive discussions with investors, independent engineers, and other relevant 3rd parties.

Strong executive-level communication & presentation skills.

Proven leader, motivator and mentor of junior employees.

The ability to remain calm under pressure, and regularly juggle multiple priorities.
