Strives towards a culture of proactive safetyGuide Quality team members toward obtaining department-specific KPI’sCreate programs for CMM and Keyence measurementsSupport and train inspection personnel in the performance of their assigned responsibilitiesManages the work in the quality labSubject matter expert in GD&TEffectively documents and communicates results in a timely fashion working closely with Production and other Manufacturing personnel.Participate in design reviews, new product introduction and validationContributes to continuous improvement project workGenerate FAI reports for customers (AS9102)Define methods and specify equipment appropriate for inspection activitiesParticipate in investigations of root cause and corrective actions, implement preventative actionsPerforms testing and supports data analysis.Identifies gauges and measurement techniques for new productsRecords, summarizes, and reports on testing dataPerform measurements for First Article InspectionsResponsible for cleanliness and organization of quality inspection and the quality lab areas.Other projects as assigned by management.REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma and 7-10 years quality work experience preferred.Experience in metal machining manufacturing environment.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in CMM programming.Advanced knowledge of geometric tolerancing.Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100D.Strong leadership and communication skills.Strong analytical skills and the ability to express technical concepts effectively, both written and verbally.Skilled at understanding of Blueprints.Skilled at using metrology hand tools and gauges.Knowledge of quality principles.Excellent computer skills and proficiency.Excellent problem-solving capabilities.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and sit. The employee will use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and to use a computer keyboard with mouse for long periods of time. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move 25 pounds.WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job in the Plant or Warehouse, the employee is exposed to noise and aluminum particles. The noise level is usually moderate, but hearing protection may be required in designated areas. The employee is required to wear safety glasses when in the plant.
